Álbum do caralho!!! "Enslaved" começa com "Resistance", música com pique industrial, lembrando a Nailbomb. Em seguida vem "World Scum", uma música bem brutal, pois é total death metal esse som e tem a participação nos vocais de Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation). "Intervention" é pesada e os seus riffs de guitarra seguem algo já feito em "Dark Ages" e "Omen", porém com destaque para as partes rápidas dos pedais duplos feitos por David Kinkade (ex Borknagar). Em "Gladiador" o groove se aliou aos pedais duplos constantes, passando por uma parte suave/experimental que em seguida volta a pancadaria. "Legions" é rápida, bem thrash/death metal, onde no final tiros de armas de fogo são ouvidos. "American Steel" lembra um pouco Sepultura. "Redemption of Man by God" tem a participação de Dez Fafara (ex Coal Chamber, Devildriver) e começa melódica e o peso chega pra contrastar, tendo dois solos muito fodas feitos pelo Marc Rizzo, que em seu término volta a ser melódica. Em "Treachery", Max berra "This is Treachery" e o pau começa a quebrar de forma rápida e pesada. "Plata O Plomo" é o meu som preferido deste álbum, pois a sua ótima letra se refere a Pablo Escobar e é berrado em português pelo Max e em espanhol por Tony Campos (Asesino, Ministry, Possessed e Prong) que também foi responsável pelo baixo em "Enslaved", sendo bem pesada e com final acústico belíssimo. "Chains" tem um clima terror executado feito por uma guitarra, que se torna uma pesada cadência seguida de solos bem chapados e que com o andamento da música do nada se torna brutal death metal. "Revengeance" tem a participação dos filhos do Max, Igor (vocals), Zyon (bateria) e de seu enteado Richie (vocal), som bem metal/hardcore. "Slave" é bem Soulfly, tento em seu final as seguintes palavras ditas por Max: "Zumbi é o senhor das guerras...". "Bastard" o groove é pesado e a letra é bem forte e hostil. E pra fechar o álbum de forma brilhante vem "Soulfly VIII", uma faixa instrumental bem suave e calma, com violão, guitarra, bateria, percussão e o violino por Tim Sadow. Resumindo: "Enslaved" é o álbum mais brutal feito pela Soulfly. Max Cavalera está berrando pra caralho e criou ótimas letras para esse trabalho. Marc Rizzo fez o melhor álbum de sua carreira, está tocando e criando muito. Tony Campos que já tem bagagem, fez o que tinha ser feito, sem firula. E David Kinkade socou para caralho os pratos, caixa e bumbo, tento grande destaque nos sons. Dos lançamentos de 2012, "Enslaved" é um dos melhores. O brasileiro Marcelo Vasco foi o autor da arte de "Enslaved", que ficou extremamente foda, sensacional! A capa desse álbum me lembrou pra caralho o filme "Hellraiser", onde tem um cubo chamado de Configuração do Lamento, que se no caso for aberta, leva a pessoa a outra dimensão onde vivem os Cenobitas, que sentem prazer através da dor dos outros. Correntes, ganchos e algemas saem das trevas e detonam a pessoa que abriu o cubo, como é visto na capa.
Great album!!! "Enslaved" begins with "Resistance", this song is industrial, reminding Nailbomb. Then "World Scum" a very brutal music, because it's total death metal and Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation) is the special guest on vocals. "Intervention" is heavy music and the guitar riffs follow something already done in "Dark Ages" and "Omen" but I highlight the fast parts of the double pedals made by David Kinkade (ex Borknagar). "Gladiator" the groove allied with the constant double pedals, then the band has the experimental moment and then the band plays the chaos. "Legions" is fast and that's thrash/death metal, where at the end of this song the shots are heard. "American Steel" remember something like Sepultura. "Redemption of Man by God" Dez Fafara is the special guest on vocals (ex Coal Chamber, Devildriver) and this song begins melodic and heavy guitars arrive for contrast with two very good guitar solos made by Marc Rizzo and when this song is ending, back to be melodic. "Treachery" Max yells loud "This is Treachery" and the destruction begins quickly and heavily. "Plata O Plomo" is my favorite song on this album, because this lyrics is great and refers to Pablo Escobar and it is singing in Portuguese by Max and Spanish by Tony Campos (Asesino, Ministry, Possessed and Prong), and he was also responsible for the bass on "Enslaved" and this song is very heavy with beautiful acoustic end. "Chains" the feeling of terror and this is done by a guitar, which becomes a heavy cadence followed by pretty crazy solos and with the progress of the music becomes brutal death metal. "Revengeance" the sons of Max, Igor (vocals), Zyon (drums) and his stepson, Richie (vocals), hardcore/metal song. "Slave" is a typical music of Soulfly and at the end the following words are said by Max: "Zumbi é o senhor das guerras...". "Bastard" the groove is heavy and the lyrics are very strong and hostile. Finishing the album brilliantly "Soulfly VIII" a calm and relaxing instrumental track with acoustic guitar, guitar, drums, percussion and the violin by Tim Sadow. In short: "Enslaved" is the most brutal album made by Soulfly. Max Cavalera is singing very well and he created great lyrics for this work. Marc Rizzo made the best album of his career, he is playing and creating much. Tony Campos is a veteran in the scene and he did what had to be done, no bullshit. David Kinkade destroyed the drums and he excelled in all the songs. Releases of 2012, "Enslaved" is one of the best. Brazilian Marcelo Vasco is the author of the cover art for "Enslaved" and that work is sensational, badass! The album cover art reminded me quite the movie "Hellraiser", which has a cube called the Lament Configuration, which in the case is opened, it takes the individual to another dimension where the Cenobites live, they feel pleasure through pain of others. Chains, hooks and handcuffs come out of darkness and detonate the person who opened the cube as you can see the cover art.
