IRON MONKEY - 9-13

Quando a notícia se espalhou na internet sobre a volta da Iron Monkey geral ficou feliz e empolgada. Quando os primeiros sons foram liberados no Youtube a coisa ficou séria, pois as músicas estavam muito boas e a vontade de escutar o novo álbum era enorme. Neste registro, a Iron Monkey foi um power trio composto por Brigga (bateria - Chaos UK) e pelos membros originais Jim Rushby (guitarra e vocal) e Steve Watson (baixo e guitarra). Pois bem, "9-13" é um álbum do caralho, assim como "Iron Monkey" e "Our Problem",  álbuns importantíssimo lançados pela banda no final dos anos 90. "9-13" é um composto por nove faixas, onde as seis primeiras são sludgecore muito agressivas e vigorosoas, quando chega a sétima faixa "The Rope" que é mais lenta, soando mais doom, mas em seguida segue o ritmo voraz com "Doomsday Impulse Multiplier" e fechando com"Moreland St. Hammervortex". Saliento que os primeiros sons "Crown of Electrodes", "Omegamangler", "9-13" e "Toadcrucifer/R.I.P.PER" são músicas muito boas. A capa que é bem simples, lembrou o pentagrama do GG Allin. Por último, Iron Monkey voltou arregaçando e "9-13" é um melhores álbuns de 2017.

When the news spread on the internet about the return of Iron Monkey everyone was happy and excited. When the first songs were released on Youtube, I realized that this was serious, because the songs were very good and my excitement to listen to the new album was enormous. In this record, Iron Monkey was a power trio composed by Brigga (drums - Chaos UK) and the original members Jim Rushby (guitars and vocals) and Steve Watson (bass and guitars). Well, "9-13" is a fucking good album, as well as "Iron Monkey" and "Our Problem", very important albums released by the band in the late 90's. "9-13" is composed of nine tracks, where the first six tracks are sludgecore very aggressive and vigorous, when it reaches the seventh track "The Rope" it is slower, sounding more doom but then follows the voracious rhythm with "Doomsday Impulse Multiplier" and ends with "Moreland St. Hammervortex". I point out that the first songs "Crown of Electrodes", "Omegamangler", "9-13" and "Toadcrucifer/R.I.P.PER" are very good. The cover is very simple and this pentagram reminded me of GG Allin. Finally, Iron Monkey came back in full force and "9-13" is one of the best albums of 2017.
