PLAGUES - THE GREAT DARK DEVOTION

"The Great Dark Devotion" é o primeiro full-length lançado pela Plagues em 2017 e digo que está muito bom. De fato, eu fiquei ansioso para ouvir esse álbum, pois as duas primeiras faixas que eu escutei como "Ascension" e "Hell" foram ouvidas várias vezes por mim, além da demo "Death March" (inclusive a faixa "Abyss" foi regravada para este registro). Seguindo a ideia das duas primeiras faixas e demo citadas, "The Great Dark Devotion" está sendo escutado por mim várias vezes, pois este álbum conseguiu unir elementos da primeira era (anos 80) como da segunda onda do black metal (anos 90), porém com atmosfera mórbida própria, negra e crua do novo milênio e eu gostei disso. Oito faixas misantrópicas com destaque para "Dust","Sins" (pique ala Satyricon) e "Devotion". Muito massa! 


"The Great Dark Devotion" is the first full-length release by Plagues in 2017 and I think it's pretty good. In fact, I was anxious to hear this album, because the first two tracks that I listened to "Ascension" and "Hell" I listened to several times, in addition to the demo "Death March" (including the track "Abyss" was re-recorded for this record). Following the idea of the first two tracks and demo mentioned, "The Great Dark Devotion" I also listened to several times, because this album managed to unite elements of the first era (80's) and also the second wave of black metal (90's), but with its own morbid, black and crude atmosphere of the new millennium and I like it. Eight misanthropic tracks, of which I highlight "Dust", "Sins" (Satyricon influence) and "Devotion". Nice job, guys!

BATHORY - BATHORY [THE CVLT NATION SESSIONS]

Em 2016, a CVLT Nation lançou esse tributo ao Bathory. Um álbum clássico que influenciou milhares de pessoas ao redor do mundo, na qual o bode é a marca registrada dessa obra-prima. A única banda que eu tenho conhecimento nesta compilação é a Plagues (excelente banda), mas as outras bandas gravaram boas versões das músicas (claro, uma boa oportunidade para conhecer bandas novas). Da hora!


In 2016 CVLT Nation launched this tribute to Bathory. A classic album that has influenced thousands of people around the world, in which the goat is the trademark of this masterpiece. The only band that I have knowledge in this compilation is Plagues (excellent band), but the other bands recorded good versions of the songs (of course, a good opportunity to listen to new bands). So cool!

PLAGUES - DEATH MARCH [DEMO]

Bem, eu conheci o som da Plagues através do tributo ao Amebix lançado pela CVLT Nation (eles tocaram "The Moor/Axeman"). Com isso, eu me interessei em conhecer melhor o som da banda e não tive nenhuma decepção. Essa demo lançado em 2015 chamada "Death March" é black metal cru, infame e fúnebre. A demo possui quatro faixas, sendo que a última é um cover da Satanic Warmaster. Massa! 

Well, I first heard the sound of Plagues through the tribute to Amebix released by CVLT Nation (they played "The Moor/Axeman"). With that, I became interested in listening to the songs of the band and I had no disappointment. This demo released in 2015 called "Death March" is raw black metal with infamous vibration and funeral. The demo features four tracks and the last music is a cover song of Satanic Warmaster. Good!

AMEBIX - ARISE! [THE CVLT NATION SESSIONS]

Seguindo a idéia e o contexto dos registros anteriores, a CVLT Nation lançou neste ano de 2015 este tributo ao Amebix. "Arise!" é um álbum excelente (um dos melhores de todos os tempos), sendo de grande importância para mim e outras pessoas ao redor do mundo. É óbvio que a gravação original é muito melhor, mas esse tributo ficou legal. 

Following the idea and the context of previous records CVLT Nation launched this year 2015 this tribute to Amebix. "Arise!" it is an excellent album (one of the best of all time) being of great importance to me and other people around the world. Obvious that the original record is much better but this tribute is cool.
