Fodido! Motörhead: Lemmy Kilmister (baixo e vocal), Fast Eddie Clark (guitarra) e Philthy Animal Taylor (bateria).
If there was one album that defined Motörhead's career, it would be Overkill. In the year 2019, the band's second album, Overkill, completed forty years since its release and this album is simply one of the masterpieces made by Motörhead and above all, one of the most important records of all time in the universe of rock and roll. Overkill is a revolutionary and striking album, the way Motörhead performed these songs served as an influence on both the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and hardcore/punk in the 80's, and the "Overkill" track is one of the key pieces for the emergence of thrash metal and its ramifications (in this case may also include "Symptom of the Universe" from Black Sabbath), since it has two frantic and powerful bass drums, absurd speed, heavy distortion, dirty and electrifying. Originally, Overkill consisted of ten excellent tracks, but there are other versions with bonus tracks and remastered, in which I must obviously highlight "Overkill", but also "Stay Clean", "(I Won't) Pay Your Price", "Capricorn" (great and beautiful guitars) "No Class" (this song has a great similarity to "Tush" by ZZ Top, I don't care), "Damage Case" (this song was written in partnership with Mick Ferran), "Tear Ya Down" (rock and roll!), "Metropolis" (lyrics based on an old German movie of the same name) and "Limb from Limb" (with the first guitar solo performed by Lemmy). As with the first album and the others that followed, the cover features Snaggletooth - WarPig, Motörhead's trademark. Excellent from start to finish, Overkill is an absolute classic that lives up to its name, a true dirty and wild rock and roll lesson. Maximum respect for the power trio that is the most noisy and unique on this planet. Badass! Motörhead: Lemmy Kilmister (bass and vocals), Fast Eddie Clark (guitars) and Philthy Animal Taylor (drums).
