MOTÖRHEAD - BOMBER

Released in October 1979, the same year as Overkill, but a few months apart, Bomber is simply a gimmick that Motörhead launched to destroy everything and make history. Bomber stems from the success of the wonderful masterpiece Overkill, where the label rushed the process of recording the album that was crazy, including the participation with the late producer Jimmy Miller who was always late or sleeping during the recordings and possessed by heroin inside of the studio and this somewhat hindered the development of this work. After all this hurry, turbulence and bombing in the studio, the end result of the three amigos on Bomber is originally ten tracks, featuring one of Motörhead's biggest anthems like "Bomber" and "Stone Dead Forever" as well as "Dead Men Tell No Tales", "All The Aces" and "Step Down" (with Eddie on vocals). The cover art was inspired by a World War II German plane called Heinkel and the author of the work is Adrian Chesterman. One of the curiosities surrounding Bomber was the band's tour shortly after the album's release, where a plane (similar to the one on the cover) was built and put above the stage and made movements (a bombing) during Motörhead's performances in those days. Anyway, Bomber is simply one of the greatest works of rock and roll. Motörhead: Lemmy Kilmister (vocals and bass), Fast Eddie Clark (guitars) and Philthy Animal (drums).

Lançado em outubro de 1979, no mesmo ano que Overkill, porém com alguns meses de diferença, Bomber é o simplesmente um pertardo lançado pela Motörhead para destruir tudo e fazer história. Bomber toma origem devido ao sucesso da maravilhosa obra-prima Overkill, onde a gravadora apressou o processo da gravação do álbum que foi uma loucura, incluindo as palas do falecido produtor Jimmy Miller que estava sempre atrasado, dormindo no ponto ou chapado de heroína no estúdio e isso de certa forma acarretou no desenvolvimento desse trabalho. Depois de toda essa pressa, turbulência e bombardeio no estúdio, o resultado final dos três amigos em Bomber são originalmente dez faixas, na qual estão um dos maiores hinos das Motörhead como "Bomber" e "Stone Dead Forever", além de "Dead Men Tell No Tales", "All The Aces" e "Step Down" (com Eddie nos vocais). A capa foi inspirada em um avião alemão da Segunda Guerra Mundial chamado Heinkel e o autor da obra é Adrian Chesterman. Umas das curiosidades envolvendo Bomber foi a turnê da banda logo após o lançamento do álbum, onde foi construído um avião (semelhante ao da capa) que ficava a cima do palco e fazia movimentos (um bombardeio) durante as apresentações da Motörhead naqueles tempos, além do mais, Bomber foi o primeiro disco da Motörhead no Brasil.
