AK//47 - LONCATI PAGAR BERDURI

Eu tive a oportunidade de assistir uma apresentação da AK//47 no primeiro semestre de 2018 na Grindhouse em Victorville e achei muito foda, grindcore total! Lembro que troquei uma ideia com Garna e um dos assuntos foi o show da Sepultura na Indonésia no início dos anos 90 e ele me respondeu que isso foi de suma importância para os indonésios, pois a Sepultura vinha de um país do terceiro mundo e isso serviu de inspiração para as pessoas de lá. Depois desse relato, vamos falar do álbum. Influenciados por Terrorizer e Unholy Grave, a AK//47 vem preparada para a guerra e sua arma de luta se chama "Loncati Pagar Berduri" (que significa 'pule o arame farpado'), o terceiro álbum que foi lançado no final de 2018. Composto por treze faixas e cantandas no idioma indonésio, "Loncati Pagar Berduri" aborda a realidade e questões sociais do mundo atual como imigração, chauvinismo, fascismo, homofobia e para exemplificar isso, Garna Radity diz: "O novo álbum é uma resposta a situações na Indonésia e em todo o mundo; Comunidades LGBTQ presas, locais de culto atacados, fraudes políticas usadas como commodities nas mídias sociais e questões de racismo desenfreadas na vida cotidiana e na política. É uma adaptação e uma saída para expressar frustração e raiva total dentro da nossa música grindcore". Diante disso, faixas como "Bebas Berkelamin", "Menggugat Manusia!", "Lempar Petasan ke Podium", "Ayat Untuk Menyayat", "Kepada Bunga Yang Masih Tumbuh di Beton" e "Botol, Bensin, dan Mawar Untukmu" transmitem toda fúria da AK//47. Muito bom! Pra terminar, vale lembrar que a banda que tocou pelos Estados Unidos não é a mesma que gravou este álbum (a turnê americana contou com dois membros da Violent Opposition). AK//47: Garna Raditya (guitarra e vocal), Yogi Ario (bateria) e Novelino Adam (vocal e baixo).

I had the opportunity to watch a performance of AK // 47 in the first half of 2018 at Grindhouse in Victorville and that was amazing, total grindcore! I remember talking to Garna about Sepultura's show in Indonesia in the early 1990's and he told me that this was very important to the Indonesians, because Sepultura came from a third world country and this was an inspiration to the people of over there. After that, let's talk about the album. Influenced by Terrorizer and Unholy Grave, AK//47 is poised for war and their fighting weapon is called "Loncati Pagar Berduri" (meaning 'jump the barbed wire'), the band's third album that was released at the end 2018. Comprised of thirteen tracks and with lyrics in the Indonesian language, "Loncati Pagar Berduri" addresses the reality and social issues of today's world such as immigration, chauvinism, fascism, homophobia and to exemplify this, Garna Radity says: "The new album is a response to situations in Indonesia and throughout the world; LGBTQ communities arrested, places of worship attacked, political hoaxes used as commodities on social media, and issues of racism rampant in everyday life and politics. It’s an adaptation and outlet of expressing frustration and total anger within our grindcore music". Thus, tracks such as "Bebas Berkelamin", "Menggugat Manusia!", "Lempar Petasan ke Podium", "Ayat Untuk Menyayat", "Kepada Bunga Yang Masih Tumbuh di Beton" e "Botol, Bensin, dan Mawar Untukmu" show all the fury of AK//47 guys. Very good! To finish, it is worth remembering that the band that played in the United States is not the same that recorded this album (the American tour counted on two members of Violent Opposition). AK/47: Garna Raditya (guitar and vocal), Yogi Ario (drums) and Novelino Adam (vocal and bass).

DISFAGO - SNAKE.TRIANGLE.SACRIFICE

Ao olhar essa capa e principalmente o nome da banda, automaticamente você imagina: 50% Discharge + 50% Sarcófago. Bem, essa duas excelentes bandas são influências óbvias deles, mas o som feito pela Disfago não é semelhante ao Discharge ou Sarcófago (ok, o vocal agudo pode parecer com o do Wagner ou Cal) e sim, um som mais próximo da Venom! Eu posso citar também Darkthrone (em seus álbuns em que soam mais metalpunk) e Midnight como bandas com sonoridade mais próxima da Disfago. "Snake.Triangle.Sacrifice" foi lançado em 2018 e contém nove faixas. Massa!

When looking at this cover and especially the name of the band, you automatically imagine: 50% Discharge + 50% Sarcófago. Well, these two excellent bands are obvious influences for them, but their sound is not similar to Discharge or Sarcófago (ok, the falsetto-style vocals may look like Wagner's or Cal's) and yes, a music closer to Venom! I can also mention Darkthrone (in their albums that sound more metalpunk) and Midnight as bands with sonority closer to Disfago. "Snake.Triangle.Sacrifice" was released in 2018 and contains nine tracks. Good!

Iron Eagle é uma banda inglesa que toca death metal/crust, ou de acordo com a banda, eles tocam um áudio desagradável (um trocadilho com o título do álbum) que é bom. Composto por onze faixas, "Audio Nasty" é um álbum pesado e sujo, que vai agradar amantes Bolt Thrower, Stormcrow, War Master, death metal e stenchcore/crust. Massa!

Iron Eagle is an English band that plays death metal/crust, or according to the band, they play an audio nasty (a pun with the album title) which is good. Comprising eleven tracks, "Audio Nasty" is a heavy and filthy album, which will please anyone who likes Bolt Thrower, Stormcrow, War Master, death metal and stenchcore/crust. So good!

VISIONS OF WAR - KING OF SWINES

"King of Swines" é o álbum dos belgas da Visions of War lançado em 2013 e já digo que é o melhor trabalho deles. Crustcore ao máximo, onde a sujeira e o fedor da pocilga rola solta nas 12 faixas que estão neste registro, sendo que um desses sons é um cover animal do G.B.H.. A capa que ficou bem doida é mais uma obra do Stiv. Sem mais, muito bom!

"King of Swines" is the album from the Belgian band Visions of War, released in 2013, and I say it's so far the best job of them. Crustcore to the maximum, where the filth and stench of the piggery are present in the 12 tracks of that record; one of those songs is an amazing cover of G.B.H. The cover art was pretty crazy and is on more of Stiv’s works. No more no less; very good!

A Guillotine Terror lançou o seu sexto álbum em 2018, isso depois de onze anos do lançamento de "Kronos", na qual Kurumi (vocal) mantém-se firme na banda como o único membro original. É inegável a importância dos registros "No God", "Black Rebel Storm" e "Japanese Corruption" como obras-primas do submundo japonês nos anos 90, além é claro, dos álbuns lançados nos anos 2000. Pois bem, "Japanese Sword" segue um caminho diferentes dos demais registros, onde as músicas estão mais limpas e com uma produção melhor. Aquela sujeira e agressividade característica do passado deu lugar para um som mais voltado para o heavy metal misturado com punk. Em suma, "Japanese Sword" é um álbum até legal, mas eu prefiro todos os outros registros anteriores. 

Guillotine Terror released its sixth album in 2018, eleven years after the release of "Kronos", in which Kurumi (vocals) is the only original member of the band. There is no denying the importance of "No God", "Black Rebel Storm" and "Japanese Corruption" records as masterpieces of the Japanese underground in the 1990's, and of course, the albums released in the 2000's. Well, "Japanese Sword" follows a different path from the other records, where the songs are cleaner and with a better production. That filthy and aggressive characteristic from the past has given way to a sound more focused on heavy metal mixed with punk. In short, "Japanese Sword" is a cool album, but I prefer all the previous records.

HATE ETERNAL - UPON DESOLATE SANDS

Em "Upon Desolate Sands" a história se repete, pois a Hate Eternal é sinônimo de música brutal e extrema. As nove faixas que compõem "Upon Desolate Sands" são esmagadoras e infernais que não precisa de muitas palavras para definir essa obra. A capa é um excelente trabalho feito novamente por Eliran Kantor. Muito brutal!

In "Upon Desolate Sands" the history repeats, because Hate Eternal is synonymous with brutal and extreme music. The nine tracks that make up "Upon Desolate Sands" are crushing and infernal there are not many words needed to define this work. The cover art is an excellent job done again by Eliran Kantor. Very brutal!

DOWN AMONG THE DEAD MEN - ...AND YOU WILL OBEY ME

"...And You Will Obey Me" é o terceiro álbum da Down Among The Dead Men, banda composta pela dupla David Ingram e Rogga Johansson, além dos músicos convidados Erik Bevenrud (bateria) e Kjetil Lynghaug (guitarra). Sucedendo "Exterminate! Annihilate! Destroy!", excelente álbum lançado em 2015, "...And You Will Obey Me" segue um caminho mais voltado para o death metal, diferente do registro anterior que soa mais crust. Independente disso, faixas como "Destroy the Infinite", "Axis of Insanity", "The End of Time", "Darkness of Glass" e "Panopticon" definem esse registro que é bom.

"...And You Will Obey Me" is the third album of Down Among The Dead Men, a band composed by David Ingram and Rogga Johansson, in addition to the invited musicians Erik Bevenrud (drums) and Kjetil Lynghaug (guitar). Succeeding "Exterminate! Annihilate! Destroy!", an excellent album released in 2015, "...And You Will Obey Me" follows a path more focused on death metal, different from the previous record that sounds more crust. "Chaos Ascension" foi lançado no final de 2017, mas só fui escutar mesmo e muito em 2018 e estou postando agora em 2019. Para iniciar, um breve resumo sobre a Left Cross. Depois de três EP's muito bons lançados anteriormente, a Left Cross lançou "Chaos Ascension", o seu primeiro álbum que está matador! Riffs e acordes super pesados, fortes e poderosos que tem um dinamismo perfeito com o baixo e a bateria, aliado a um vocal gutural assombroso, sendo essas as características e as qualidades deles. Aparentemente, a maior influência da Left Cross é a Bolt Thrower, mas também é possível perceber influências das velhas bandas de death metal americanas, seus conterrâneos. Destaque para as faixas "Chaos Ascension", "Traitor Legion", "Siegebreaker", "Nuclear Destiny" e "Armored Division". Sumariamente, "Chaos Ascension" é um dos melhores álbuns que escutei em 2018 e isso também é indicado pra quem curte crust pesadão como Sanctum e bandas do tipo. Foda!

"Chaos Ascension" was released at the end of 2017, but I only had the opportunity to actually hear it in the year 2018 and I am now posting this album in this year of 2019. To start, a brief summary about Left Cross. After three very good EPs released earlier, Left Cross released "Chaos Ascension", their first album that is killer! Riffs and chords super heavy, strong and powerful, it has a perfect dynamism with bass and drums, coupled with an astonishing guttural vocal, these are the characteristics and the qualities of them. Apparently, Left Cross's biggest influence is the Bolt Thrower, but it's also possible to see influences from the old American death metal bands. Highlight for the tracks "Chaos Ascension", "Traitor Legion", "Siegebreaker", "Nuclear Destiny" and "Armored Division". In summary, "Chaos Ascension" is one of the best albums I listened to in 2018 and this is also suitable for those who enjoy heavy crust like Sanctum and similar bands. Badass!

LANGUISH - UNWORTHY

A Languish é uma banda relativamente nova e ela é composta por membros de bandas como Gatecreeper e North. No seu segundo álbum, "Unworthy", a Languish executa um deathgrind com influências black metal e hardcore, na qual o resultado é bem legal. Uma dica: quem curte barulho tipo Pig Destroyer e Primitive Man provavelmente vai gostar bastante da Languish. 

Languish is a relatively new band and it is comprised of bands members from Gatecreeper and North. In their second album, "Unworthy", Languish performs deathgrind with influences from black metal and hardcore, in which the result is very cool. One tip: anyone who likes Pig Destroyer and Primitive Man will probably like Languish a lot.

"Ritual", o décimo primeiro álbum da Soulfly. Bem, "Ritual" não é um registro inovador, pois mescla o "Roots", álbum lançado pela Sepultura em 1996 e os álbuns lançados pela Soulfly pós "Prophecy", consequentemente, isso se relaciona com entrada no guitarrista Marc Rizzo na banda desde então. Sendo assim, um dos focos de "Ritual" está em conexão com a música tribal dos povos tribais norte-americanos, além das guerras, maldições e outros. As faixas que merecem destaque são "Under Rapture" (thrash metal, hardcore e death metal - Ross Dolan [Immolation] nos vocais), "Blood on the Street" ("Na fronteira entre o céu e o inferno, 22 milímetros de ferro" - essa letra relata o assassinato de uma criança da tribo Navajo) e "Feedback!" (puro Motörhead). Quanto a capa, um trabalho muito bem feito pelo Eliran Kantor, as cores dos castelos ou fortalezas me lembraram as cidades fictícias de Yunkai (cidade amarela) e Astapor (cidade vermelha) da série de TV Game of Thrones, além do arqueiro que se encaixa neste conceito. Enfim, um disco legal. 

"Ritual", Soulfly's eleventh album. Well, "Ritual" is not an innovative record, since it mixes "Roots", the album released by Sepultura in 1996 and the albums released by Soulfly after "Prophecy" (The first album with Marc Rizzo). So, one of the focuses of "Ritual" is the tribal music of the American tribal peoples, in addition to wars, curses and other themes. The tracks that stand out are "Under Rapture" (thrash metal, hardcore and death metal - Ross Dolan [Immolation] on vocals), "Blood on the Street" ("Na fronteira entre o céu e o inferno, 22 milímetros de ferro" - these lyrics report the murder of a Navajo tribe child) and "Feedback!" (pure Motörhead). As for the cover art, a work very well done by Eliran Kantor, the colors of the castles or fortresses reminded me of the fictional cities of Yunkai (yellow city) and Astapor (red city) of the TV series Game of Thrones, as well as the archer who fits into this concept. Anyway, a cool record.

UNLEASHED - THE HUNT FOR WHITE CHRIST

Juntamente com a Grave, a Unleashed é um dos remanescentes da era de ouro do death metal sueco dos anos 90. E nada mais justo que um álbum como "The Hunt For White Christ", mostrando toda a fúria e experiência deste quarteto que se mantém forte desde então. A temática deste trabalho é ancestral e viking, onde o maior inimigo a ser caçado e destruído é o cristianismo e isso está explícito nos onze hinos de guerra. Bom!

Together with Grave, Unleashed is one of the remnants of the golden era of Swedish death metal from the 1990's. Nothing is more just than an album like "The Hunt For White Christ", showing all the fury and experience of this quartet that has remained strong ever since the beginning. The theme of this work is ancestral and viking, where the greatest enemy to be hunted and destroyed is Christianity and these are an explicit eleven hymns of war. Good!

TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION - #USA4TFD

Liderados pelos ex-baterista da Brutal Truth, Richard Hoak, "#USA4TFD" é o quarto álbum da Total Fucking Destruction e está bem barulhento e matador como nos registros anteriores. De acordo com Hoak em uma entrevista para Decibel Magazine, eesse álbum é uma celebração do apocalipse em câmera lenta em andamento,  na qual é uma mensagem de energia e força para todos que vivem essa vida cotidiana do atual complexo corporativo/militar/de entretenimento/tecnologia dos dias de hoje, obviamente, com uma dose de humor. Sem mais, fodido!

Led by former Brutal Truth drummer Richard Hoak, "#USA4TFD" is the fourth album of Total Fucking Destruction and is as loud and killer as in previous records. According to Hoak in an interview for Decibel Magazine, this album is a celebration of the slow-moving apocalypse now in progress, in which it is a message of energy and strength for everyone living this crazy, fucked up daily life of the modern-day global corporate/military/entertainment/technology complex, obviously with a dose of humor. Very good!

Depois do poderoso primeiro álbum lançado em 2016, a Atrament das as caras novamente com "Scum Sect", o seu segundo álbum que foi lançado em 2018. "Scum Sect" possui as mesmas características apocalípticas de sua estréia, porém neste registro tudo está mais nefasto, que evoca a ideia de morte (principalmente em se tratanto das letras). Essa mistura entre d-beat/crust com death/black metal soa muito bem aos ouvidos e os caras da Atrament acertaram em cheio nisso. As minhas favoritas são "Plague Upheaval", "Harbinger", "War Seed", "Spit on Mankind" e "This Night Shall See No End". Pra finalizar, "Scum Sect" é um dos álbuns mais interessantes de 2018. 

After the powerful first album released in 2016, Atrament is back with "Scum Sect" their second album that was released in 2018. "Scum Sect" has the same apocalyptic characteristics of the debut, but in this record everything is more nefarious, evoking the idea of death (especially in the case of lyrics). This mix between d-beat/crust with death/black metal sounds are so good to the ears, the guys from Atrament hit it right. My favorite tracks are "Plague Upheaval", "Harbinger", "War Seed", "Spit on Mankind" and "This Night Shall See No End". Finally, "Scum Sect" is one of the most interesting albums of 2018.

BEHEMOTH - I LOVED YOU AT YOUR DARKEST

A Behemoth não é uma banda underground já faz um bom tempo e isso pode ser positivo para uns e negativo para outros. A verdade que a Behemoth cresceu e hoje, a banda é sucesso mundial, onde o seu público não é apenas composto por quem curte só black/death metal, mas também de outras vertentes do metal. E pra quem estava imaginando que "I Loved You at Your Darkest" seria um álbum de volta aos primórdios da Behemoth, pode tirar o cavalinho da chuva, pois este registro segue bem a linha dos últimos álbuns da banda. Não é nenhuma obra-prima, mas também nenhuma merda. Um álbum legal. 

Behemoth has not been an underground band for a long time and this can be positive for some and negative for others. The truth is that Behemoth has grown and today, the band is a worldwide success, its audience is not only composed by those who enjoy only black/death metal, but also of other people who enjoy the other sub-genres of the metal. For anyone who was imagining "I Loved You at Your Darkest" might be an album back to the early Behemoth, forget it, because this record follows the line of the last albums released by the band. It's no masterpiece, but not shit either. A cool album.

2018 era o ano esperado para o lançamento de "Diário De Guerra", o novo álbum da Holocausto, mas infelizmente isso não aconteceu. Entretanto, a Holocausto lançou via Nuclear War Now! Productions a demo "Guerra Total", composta por quatro faixas. Essa demo foi realmente gravada ao vivo, na qual é possível sentir e absorver a podreira, a sujeira e a crueza executada pela Holocausto. 

2018 was the year expected for the release of "Diário De Guerra", the new Holocausto album, but unfortunately that did not happen. Meanwhile, Holocausto released via Nuclear War Now! Productions the demo "Guerra Total", composed of four tracks. This demo was actually recorded live, in which it is possible to feel and absorb the rottenness, dirt and crudity executed by Holocausto.

"Husk" é o terceiro registro da Deviated Instinct desde a sua volta em 2012, quando lançaram o EP "Liberty Crawls to the Sanctuary of Slaves". Assim, digo que "Husk" segue o mesmo princípio musical apresentado em "Liberty Crawls...", ou seja, stenchcore/crust com influências e ritmos metálicos. As letras presentes em "Husk" também merecem destaque como "Brave New Herd", que aborda e se encaixa na nova tendência mundial direitista; "We Harvest Just Shadows", a letra aborda o consumo de alimentos, sementes geneticamente modificadas, patentes, solos e as consequências desses atos (exemplos para facilitar a ideia: Cargill e Monsanto); "None Shall Mourn", uma letra de caráter niilista, na qual reflete a extinção da humanidade; e "Longpig Crawling", trata-se da luta pela sobrevivência com sofrimento e angústia, porém a morte é certa (longpig é um termo antiquado para carne humana, comido por canibais - supostamente, o termo longpig é uma tradução de uma frase usada nas ilhas do Pacífico para carne humana destinada ao consumo, na qual os habitantes nativos diziam que o gosto era semelhante a carne de porco). A gravação e mixagem ficou por conta de Bri (Doom) no 1in12 Studio, a masterização por Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise) no Audiosiege e a capa por Mid. Em suma, mais um ótimo registro da Deviated Instinct e um dos meus favoritos de 2018. Foda! Deviated Instinct: Tony (bateria), Mid (guitarra e vocal), Leggo (vocal) e Snapa (baixo e vocal). 

"Husk" is the third record of Deviated Instinct since its return in 2012, when they released the EP "Liberty Crawls to the Sanctuary of Slaves". So, I say that "Husk" follows the same musical principle presented in "Liberty Crawls...", that is, stenchcore/crust with influences and metallic rhythms. The lyrics in "Husk" also deserve prominence as "Brave New Herd", which addresses and fits in the new right-wing world trend; "We Harvest Just Shadows", the lyrics addresses the consumption of food, genetically modified seeds, patents, soils and the consequences of these acts (examples to facilitate the idea: Cargill and Monsanto); "None Shall Mourn", a lyrics of nihilistic character, in which it reflects the extinction of humanity; and "Longpig Crawling", it is the struggle for survival with suffering and anguish, but death is certain (longpig is an old-fashioned term for human flesh eaten by cannibals - supposedly the term longpig is a translation of a phrase used in Pacific Islands for human flesh intended for consumption, in which the native inhabitants said that the taste was similar to pork). The recording and mixing is by Bri (Doom) at the 1in12 Studio, the mastering is by Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise) at Audiosiege and the cover art is by Mid. In short, another great record from Deviated Instinct and one of my favorites of 2018. A influência da cena hardcore/punk japonesa no som da Paranoid está mais forte a cada dia/lançamento e com "Heavy Mental Fuck-Up!" isso está bem explícito. "Heavy Mental Fuck-Up!" é um álbum exclusivo e único em se tratando de Paranoid, pois as músicas estão muito mais metálicas e hardcore em relação aos primeiros registros e isso é uma influência direta de bandas como GISM e Death Side. Imagino que não vai desapontar os antigos admiradores da Paranoid, pois as dez faixas que compõem este álbum são bem legais. 

The influence of the Japanese hardcore/punk scene in the sound of Paranoid is stronger every day/release and with "Heavy Mental Fuck-Up!" this is very explicit. "Heavy Mental Fuck-Up!" is an exclusive and unique album for Paranoid, because the songs are much more metallic and hardcore than the first records and this is a direct influence of bands like GISM and Death Side. I guess it will not disappoint the old fans of Paranoid, because the ten tracks that make up this album are pretty cool.

Stench of Death was formed in 2010, they returned with a new lineup in 2018 and released "Scars of Terror" the same year. The sound of Stench of Death is a brutal crustcore band in the vein of bands like Extreme Noise Terror, Disrupt, Cruel Face and Masskontroll. One of the most aggressive records released in 2018 in the Brazilian scene. Na boca do povo, a Tragedy é conhecida como os pais do neocrust e consequentemente, eles influenciaram muitas bandas desde os anos 2000. Bem, depois de seis anos do lançamento de "Darker Days Ahead", álbum de 2012, a Tragedy voltou em 2018 com o EP "Fury" que é composto por seis faixas. A Tragedy manteve a sua fórmula musical aliada a fúria, na qual destacam-se os sons "Leviathan", "Enter the Void" e "Swallow the Pill". Maneiro!

In the minds of the people, Tragedy is known as the fathers of neocrust and consequently, they have influenced many bands since the 2000s. Well, six years after the release of the "Darker Days Ahead" album of 2012, Tragedy returned in 2018 with the EP "Fury" which consists of six tracks. Tragedy kept his musical formula allied with fury, in which the songs "Leviathan", "Enter the Void" and "Swallow the Pill" stand out. Cool!

This album is good, but I confess I did not hear much Monstrosity compared to other USA death metal bands. I admit, "Imperial Doom" was their only album I actually listened to. Regardless, I like "The Passage of Existence".

"Existencial Void Guardian" o álbum de 2018 da Conan e é um registro muito pesado, cheio de energia e força, na qual podemos dizer que tem bastante influências de bandas como Black Sabbath, Cathedral e Melvins. Composto por sete faixas (na versão inserida no Spotify contém mais quatro faixas ao vivo), eu destaco "Paincantation" (total deathgrind, a faixa mais rápida do álbum), "Amidst The Infinite", "Volt Thrower" e "Eternal Silent Legend". A capa é um bom trabalho de Tony Roberts. Da hora!

É com muito prazer que eu escutei e posto aqui "To The Night Unknown", o quarto álbum da Morne. Com uma nova formação, a Morne mais uma vez não decepcionou e fizeram mais outro álbum pesado, rastejante e trevoso. Os temas líricos são bem pessoais e abortam com ênfase a noite, sombras, escuridão, dor, feridas, frio, medo, chamas, fogo, sol, luz e o amanhacer, na qual pode-se associar aos escritores do Mau do Século como por exemplo, Lord Byron e Álvares de Azevedo. Ao longo das oito excelentes faixas que possui "To The Night Unknown", eu destaco "The Blood Is Our Own", "Scorn" e "Night Awaits The Dawn" como músicas com as características e a assinatura própria da Morne (você escuta e sabe que é Morne, ou seja, estilo único), além da faixa título (belo final acústico) e "Not Our Flame". Inquestionavelmente um dos melhores álbuns de 2018, eu finalizo essa resenha com uma frase de Melisandre, a sacerdotisa vermelha de Asshai e personagem do livro e série televisiva Game of Thrones, na qual se encaixa perfeitamente nessa grande obra feita pela Morne: "A noite é escura e cheia de terrores!". 

It is with great pleasure that I listened to "To The Night Unknown", the fourth album of the Morne. With a new lineup, Morne once again did not disappoint and they made another album more heavy, creepy and shady. The lyrical themes are very personal and heavy with emphasis on the night, shadows, darkness, pain, wounds, cold, fear, flames, fire, sun, light and dawn, in which one can associate this with the writers of the mal du siècle  (is a French, original expression of Chateaubriand, used as a literary topic to refer to the crisis of beliefs and values unleashed in Europe in the nineteenth century, especially in the context of romanticism), for example, Lord Byron and Álvares de Azevedo. Through the eight excellent tracks that have "To The Night Unknown", I highlight "The Blood Is Our Own", "Scorn" and "Night Awaits The Dawn" as songs with the characteristics and signatures of Morne (you listen and automatically know that it is Morne, a very unique style), plus the title track (beautiful final acoustic) and "Not Our Flame". Flame". Unquestionably one of the best albums of 2018, I finish this review with a quote from Melisandre, the Red Priestess from Asshai and character from the book and TV series Game of Thrones, which fits perfectly in this great work done by Morne: "The night is dark and full of terrors!".

A Mente Arma é uma banda do sul da Califórnia e eles foram um dos meus primeiros amigos nos Estados Unidos. Também assisti-los em um show na Grindhouse em Victorville e foi bem massa. Bom, o lado da Mente Arma é composto por seis faixas e eles tocam crustcore/hardcore cru, sujo e energético. Já a Karstayskä é uma banda finlandesa de hardcore/punk bem podrona e eles se apresentam com catorze faixas. Pra finalizar, tenho que agradecer o Kyle (guitarrista da Mente Arma) pela fita que ele me deu de presente, muito obrigado! Da hora!

Mente Arma is a band from Southern California and they were one of my first friends in the United States of America. I also watched them at a gig at the Grindhouse in Victorville and it was pretty good. Well, the Mente Arma side is made up of six tracks and they play raw, dirty and energetic crustcore/hardcore. Karstayskä is a Finnish hardcore / punk band and they perform with fourteen tracks. To conclude, I have to thank Kyle (guitarist of Mente Arma) for the tape he gave me as a gift, thank you! So cool!
