SLAYER - REPENTLESS
"Repentless" is the first album without the presence of Jeff Hanneman who died in 2013. Before the album was released many people were with negative expectations about it, because one of the greatest composers of the band was not present and this also includes the drummer Dave Lombardo. But who replaced Jeff Hanneman was Gary Holt (Exodus), one of the great guitarists of thrash metal and the drummer is Paul Bostaph (you know this guy). Well, "Repentless" is a very good album and certainly exceeded my expectations and perhaps yours. Yes, the album is thrash metal aggressive and straight to the point and at times reminds phases like "Reign in Blood" and "Divine Intervention" but Slayer is a band like Motörhead and AC/DC, ie, the formula is the same as in previous albums and I think that's good. Highlighting the tracks "Repentless", "Take Control", "Cast the First Stone", "When the Stillness Comes" and "Pride in Prejudice". To complete this new work, the cover art was done by Marcelo Vasco (another brilliant art). "Repentless" is an album that is worth listening to. I like!
