VELHO - O RETORNO DA MESMA LUA

When Velho appeared in 2009 with the EP Vida Longa Ao Primitivo, it was a pleasant surprise for me and for the Brazilian underground scene, because the sound they made was raw, harsh, cruel and above all, primitive. Ten years after the first record, Velho released in 2019 his third album called O Retorno Da Mesma Lua, which continues with the same initial characteristics combined with the experiences of years in hell on earth and on the road. Complementing, O Retorno Da Mesma Lua is raw and primitive black metal (Brazilian style) with some northern influences, for example, Darkthrone. Of the eight tracks that make up the album, I highlight "Lago Das Decepções", "O Amanhecer Dos Bruxos Negros Terroristas" (Anti-Islamic lyrical theme), "Ventos Críticos" and "De Volta Às Cinzas" (the best track). Before I forget, it is also worth mentioning the lyrics that were very well constructed and written in Portuguese. Finally, Velho is a very good band and O Retorno Da Mesma Lua is one of the most interesting records of 2019 and and I value it too much. So good!

Quando o Velho apareceu em 2009 com o EP Vida Longa Ao Primitivo, foi uma grata surpresa para mim e para o underground, pois o som que eles faziam era cru, ríspido, cruel e sobretudo, primitivo. Passado dez anos deste o primeiro registro, o Velho lançou em 2019 o seu terceiro álbum chamado O Retorno Da Mesma Lua, que continua com as mesmas características iniciais aliadas as experiências dos anos no inferno terrestre e estrada. Complementando, O Retorno Da Mesma Lua é black metal cru e primitivo, bem ao estilo brasileiro de ser com algumas influências nortenhas, como por exemplo, Darkthrone. Das oito faixas que compõem o álbum, destaco "Lago Das Decepções", "O Amanhecer Dos Bruxos Negros Terroristas" (faixa com temática anti-islâmica), "Ventos Críticos" e "De Volta Às Cinzas" (a melhor faixa). Antes que eu me esqueça, vale também destacar as letras que ficaram muito bem construídas e escritas em português. Pra acabar, o Velho é uma banda massa e O Retorno Da Mesma Lua é um dos registros mais doidos de 2019 e eu valorizo demais. Fodido!
