ANTISECT - THE RISING OF THE LIGHTS

Depois de 34 anos, a Antisect lançou um novo álbum, embora a banda tenha lançado um EP em 2011, marcando assim o retorno da Antisect aos palcos. Lembro que houve uma grande eurofia por parte dos fãs por conta disso. De todo modo, "The Rising Of The Lights" foi lançado em 2017 e essa euforia se transformou em decepção para muitas pessoas (ainda não tinha escutado o álbum, mas li diversos comentários negativos no Facebook). Ok, escutei várias vezes o álbum e gostei sim. Com apenas Pete Lyons da formação original, "The Rising Of The Lights" é um álbum pesado, contemporâneo e bem produzido, onde existe uma grande similaridade com "Sonic Mass", último álbum da Amebix, incluindo também as sonoridades feita por bandas como, Killing Joke, Motörhead e Sepultura. Obviamente, "The Rising Of The Lights" é um álbum bem diferente de "In Darkness, There Is No Choice", porém não deixa de ser um registro legal. Lembrando que isso foi lançado pela Rise Above Records (gravadora do Lee Dorrian). Enfim, vale a pena escutar! Antisect: Pete Lyons (vocal/guitarra), Joe Burwood (bateria) e John Bryson (baixo). 

After 34 years, Antisect released a new album, although the band released an EP in 2011, which marked the return of Antisect to the stage. I remember the euphoria this brought the fans. Well, "The Rising Of The Lights" was released in 2017 and this euphoria has turned into disappointment for many people (I still had not listened to the album, but I read several negative comments on Facebook). Ok, I listened to the album several times and I liked it. With only Pete Lyons from the original line-up, "The Rising Of The Lights" is a heavy, contemporary and well-produced album, there is a great similarity to Amebix's latest album "Sonic Mass", including the sound of bands such as Killing Joke, Motörhead and Sepultura. Obviously, "The Rising Of The Lights" is a very different album from "In Darkness, There Is No Choice", but it is still a cool record. Remember that this was released by Rise Above Records (Lee Dorrian is owner of the label). Anyway, it's worth listening to!
