VELHO - DECREPITUDE & SABEDORIA

O meu primeiro contato com a Velho foi através do Raphael (ex-baixista) e ele me enviou as músicas para eu escutar naquela época (em 2009 mais precisamente). De cara eu gostei do resultado, pois era algo totalmente cru e agressivo, na qual me fez lembrar-se das antigas hordas, como Venom, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Bathory e até mesmo a Dorsal Atlântica. Logo em seguida eles lançaram "Vida Longa Ao Primitivo", sendo um EP com as tais características citadas acima e com isso a Velho teve grande aceitação no underground brasileiro. Em 2015 a banda lançou o seu primeiro álbum chamado "Decrepitude & Sabedoria", na qual eles seguem no caminho das trevas da forma mais cruel e odiosa possível e isso está explicito nas oito faixas que compõem esse artefato maligno. Na faixa "Satã, Apareça!", algumas participações especiais nos vocais como, R. Inkubus (Embalsamado, Hellkommander, Imperador Belial e Into The Cave), Jana Lemos (Silentio Mortis e Tyranno) e Victor (Whipstryker, Farscape, Atomic Roar e Kuld). Mas o grande destaque fica para "Sob o Maldito Verão do Sul", pois alguém tinha que fazer uma música relatando esse tormento. Com relação à arte de capa, eu não sei quem é o autor, mas ela é tão misantrópica quanto à primeira arte do EP (o cadáver já se decompôs). Muito bom! Escute agora!

My first contact with Velho was by Raphael (ex bass player) and he sent me the songs so I could hear (in 2009 more precisely). When I heard the songs I liked it because it was something totally raw and aggressive, which made me remember the old hordes like, Venom, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Bathory and also the Brazilian band called Dorsal Atlântica. Soon after they released "Vida Longa Ao Primitivo", this EP has the same characteristics mentioned above and Velho had great public acceptance in the Brazilian underground. In 2015 the band released their first album called "Decrepitude & Sabedoria", in which they follow in the path of darkness in the most cruel and hateful way possible and this is explicit in the eight tracks that make up this malignant artifact. On the track "Satã, Apareça!", some special guests on vocals as R. Inkubus (Embalsamado, Hellkommander, Imperador Belial and Into The Cave), Jana Lemos (Silentio Mortis and Tyranno) e Victor (Whipstryker, Farscape, Atomic Roar and Kuld). But for me the highlight is "Sob o Maldito Verão do Sul" because someone had to do a song reporting this torment. Regarding the cover art, I don't know the author's name, but this art is as misanthropic as the first cover art made for the EP (the corpse has decomposed). Very good! You should listen to it now!
