EYEHATEGOD - EYEHATEGOD

Quando eu conheci o termo ou o rótulo sludgecore foi através de revistas de metal e as duas bandas primeiras bandas que eu ouvi foram a Eyehategod e Soilent Green. E é claro, eu pirei fácil. Lembro que a capa do meu caderno em 2001 era capa do álbum "Dopesick", cuja capa tem uma mulher com os olhos costurados e isso aterrorizava os colegas de sala de aula. Com o tempo a admiração e o respeito por essa banda só aumentou. E depois de quatorze anos a Eyehategod lança um full-length e está fantástico. Esse novo álbum começa com faixa "Agitation! Propaganda!", um típico som hardcore. Destaque também para as faixas "Quitter's Offensive", "Worthless Rescue", "Framed To The Wall", "Rebitussin and Reject" e "Medicine Noose", além da re-gravação de música "The Age of Bootcamp". Outro destaque é arte de capa que está ótima. O único ponto negativo desse álbum é que se trata do último registro do baterista Joe Fazzio, que morreu no ano passado. Bem, uma banda que têm loucos como Mike IX Williams e Jimmy Bower em sua formação, certamente nós escutaremos coisas boas e pesadas. Valeu a pena esperar quatorze anos por um full-length. Os caras que gravaram "Eyehategod" são: Mike IX Williams (vocais), Jimmy Bower (guitarras), Joe Fazzio (bateria), Gary Mader (baixo) e Brian Patton (guitarras). 

I heard for the term sludgecore for the first time from Brazilian heavy metal magazines and the first two bands I heard were Eyehategod and Soilent Green. And of course, I liked those bands. I remember the cover of my exercise book in 2001 was the album cover "Dopesick", whose cover has a woman with stitched eyes and my classmates were terrified of this image. Over time my admiration and my respect for this band only increased. And after fourteen years Eyehategod launches a full-length in which is fantastic. This album begins with the track "Agitation! Propaganda!", a typical hardcore sound. Highlights also include the tracks "Quitter's Offensive", "Worthless Rescue", "Framed To The Wall", "Robitussin and Reject" and "Medicine Noose" beyond re-recording of the song "The Age of Bootcamp". Another highlight is the cover art which is great. The only downside of this album is that it is the last record of drummer Joe Fazzio, who died last year. Well, a band that have mad people like Mike IX Williams and Jimmy Bower in his formation, certainly we will listen heavy music. For me, listening this full-length after fourteen years is magical. The people who recorded "Eyehategod" are: Mike IX Williams (vocals), Jimmy Bower (guitars), Joe Fazzio (drums), Gary Mader (bass) and Brian Patton (guitars).
