9º álbum da Soulfly. "Savages" é um álbum que segue bem a linha Soulfly de ser, forte e pesado. Composto por doze sons, "Savages" traz dessa vez participações especiais de pessoas como, Neil Fallon (Clutch) em "Ayatollah of Rock 'N' Rolla"; Mitch Harris (Napalm Death) em "K.C.S."; Jamie Hanks (I Declare War) em "Fallen" e Igor Cavalera (Lody Kong) em "Bloodshed", sendo sons bem massas de se escutar, além das outras é claro. Mas pra mim as músicas mais fodas desse trabalho são "Spiral" e "El Comegente". Com relação às letras, segue bem o lirismo aplicado pelo Max durante anos, porém com algumas mudanças, pois neste álbum fala-se também sobre canibalismo. Vale lembrar que "Savages" é o primeiro álbum gravado por Zyon Cavalera na bateria e o cara deu conta do recado e a formação nas cordas é a mesma de "Enslaved", com Marc Rizzo na guitarra e Tony Campos no baixo. Pra variar, a arte gráfica é outro destaque e ficou por conta de Paul Stottler (Oculus Outré) e Ted Venemann (Oculus Outré). Mais outra obra massa feita por Massimiliano Antônio Cavalera.
This is Soulfly's ninth album. "Savages" is an album that follows Soulfly's style, strong and heavy. With twelve tracks, "Savages" brings special guest appearances such as, Neil Fallon (Clutch) on the track "Ayatollah of Rock 'N' Rolla"; Mitch Harris (Napalm Death) on "K.C.S."; Jamie Hanks (I Declare War) on "Fallen" and Igor Cavalera (Lody Kong) on "Bloodshed", they are very nice songs to listen to, the other songs are as well. But, for me the best songs of this work are "Spiral" and "El Comegente". Regarding the lyrics, the lyrical content is the same applied by Max for years, but with some changes, because in this album cannibalism is one of the themes. It is worth remembering that "Savages" is the first album recorded by Zyon Cavalera on drums and the guy did a good job, including Marc Rizzo on guitar and Tony Campos on bass, both also recorded "Enslaved". The graphic art is another highlight and the authors are Paul Stottler (Oculus Outré) and Ted Venemann (Oculus Outré). Another good work by Massimiliano Antônio Cavalera.
