Ok, muitos vão odiar esse álbum, pois não tem nada a ver com seus registros dos anos 80, tanto em produção, riffs e etc (que no caso está muito bem feito por sinal). E isso é muito evidente, pois os dois irmãos (The Baron e Stig) também evoluíram como músicos. Alguns sons tem até um pique ala Ministry, como na música "Visitation", "Shield Wall" é uma faixa instrumental na linha Sepultura/Soulfly e "Knights of The Black Sun" tem uma pegada ala Neurosis. Com relação a isso, eu posso dizer que "Sonic Mass" é bastante influenciado por todas essas bandas citadas e misturado com sua originalidade e identidade (a raiz crust metal punk), além da Killing Joke. A produção e mixagem de "Sonic Mass" ficou por conta do baterista Roy Mayorga e a arte de capa por Andy Lefton (War//Plague). No geral eu gostei do resultado final desse álbum, pois é um registro poderoso e pesado, na qual me surpreendeu bastante. Muito bom!
Ok, many will hate this album as it bears no resemblance to their records released in the 80's in production, guitar riffs, etc (which in the case is very well done by the way). This is very evident, since the two brothers (The Baron and Stig) also evolved as musicians. Some tracks they have are similar to Ministry, like the song "Visitation", "Shield Wall" is an instrumental track with the musical style made by Sepultura/Soulfly and "Knights of The Black Sun" sounds like Neurosis. Regarding this, I can say that "Sonic Mass" is heavily influenced by all these bands and mixed with their originality and identity (the root crust metal punk), in addition to Killing Joke. The production and mixing of "Sonic Mass" is by drummer Roy Mayorga and cover art is by Andy Lefton (War//Plague). Overall, I like the final result of this album, because it is a powerful and heavy record, in which I was quite surprised. Very good!
