SOULFLY - ARCHANGEL

É sempre bom escutar os novos álbuns e projetos que envolvem Max Cavalera, pois querendo você ou não o cara é uma referência e isso é inquestionável. "Archangel" é o décimo álbum da Soulfly e o que podemos dizer? Bem, o álbum é bom, mas nada foda pra caralho. O que você vai escutar aqui é basicamente o mais do mesmo que a Soulfly já produziu, incluindo é claro as participações especiais como, Todd Jones (Nails - vocais em "Sodomites"); Matt Young (King Parrot - vocais em "Live Life Hard");  Anahid, Igor Cavalera e Richie Cavalera (vocais em "Mother of Dragons") e Roki Cavalera (a intro em "You Suffer" cover da Napalm Death). Destaque para a faixa "Acosador Nocturno", pois essa música é uma volta no tempo, especificamente aos anos 80, época da explosão do metal e, sobretudo o surgimento da Sepultura e várias outras bandas. Com relação ao título desse álbum, o conceito abordado neste trabalho é sobre lendas bíblicas. A arte de capa foi feita por Eliran Kantor. 

It is always good to hear new albums and projects involving Max Cavalera because you like it or not the guy is a reference and it is unquestionable. "Archangel" is the tenth album produced by Soulfly and what can I say? Well, the album is good, but nothing outstanding. What you will hear here is basically more of the same that Soulfly has produced so far, including of course the special participations as Todd Jones (Nails - vocals on "Sodomites"); Matt Young (King Parrot - vocals on "Live Life Hard"); Anahid, Igor Cavalera and Richie Cavalera (vocals on "Mother of Dragons") and Roki Cavalera (the intro on "You Suffer" Napalm Death cover). I highlight the track "Acosador Nocturno", because this song is a back in time, specifically to the 80s, the time of the metal explosion and especially the birth of Sepultura and various other bands. Regarding the album title, the concept addressed in this work is about the biblical legends. Cover art by Eliran Kantor.
