01 - A Defy vai fazer uma turnê na Europa agora junto com a Subterror. Como está a expectativa para essa viagem? Quais as bandas que irão dividir o palco com vocês?
Fernando: Cara, estamos na ansiedade a mil, é um sonho que tinhamos em mostrar nosso som fora do país, e felizmente está perto de se concretizar, ainda mais estando do lado de amigos, expectativa total!!! Sobre as bandas, eu não sei dizer todas as bandas em que dividiremos o palco, mas posso citar algumas em especial que estamos ansiosos para ver, Visions of War, banda do autor da capa do split, o Stiv; tem também o Risposta, banda da República Tcheca do amigo Mirrus, que tivemos o prazer de lançar um split juntos; Lautstürmer, que já estiveram por aqui em 2011 se não me engano; Do You Think I Care?, entre outras, mas duas em especial me chamaram a atenção: La Casa Fantom e Roxor, dispensarei comentários, apenas escutem!!!
Denito: Fala Crôsta! Valeu pelo espaço! A expectativa com a tour é bem grande, especialmente em ter junto conosco o Subterror, pois somos amigos e existe um grande respeito e admiração entre todos. Sobre bandas, vamos tocar com algumas bandas que gostamos e já acompanhamos de algum tempo, caso do Visions of War, tem o Beton também que já é uma banda antiga, Lautstürmer que tivemos oportunidade de tocar com eles aqui em SP, e em especial o Risposta, pois temos split juntos e será um grande dia para nós e fora todas as outras bandas que devemos conhecer, pessoas, lugares, países e etc... Enfim, muita informação em um curto espaço de tempo. Vai ser massa!
02 - Quando terminar essa turnê européia vocês vão lançar aqui no Brasil o split Defy/Subterror. Em quais formatos esse split será lançado? Quem foi o autor da arte da capa?
Fernando: O Split será lançado no formato EP 7", e o autor da capa foi o Stiv, vocal do Visions of War.
Denito: Foram feitas 500 cópias do split em formato 7" para a tour e também para vender por aqui. A arte foi feita pelo Stiv do Visions of War. Já conhecíamos o trabalho dele, ele já fez trabalhos para o Instinct of Survival, Guided Cradle e etc. Foi só entrar em contato, colocar a idéia no papel e deixar o resto com ele pois sabíamos que sairía um trabalho brutal, e saiu. Curtimos muito!
03 - Com relação aos sons novos, eles estão com uma mistura muito forte de Death Metal com Crustcore e que em certos momentos chega a lembrar Napalm Death (fase Death Metal). Vocês concordam?
Fernando: Concordo em partes, concordo com a mistura forte de Death Metal com Crust, mas discordo um pouco na semelhança com Napalm rs, nós adoramos Napalm Death, com certeza é uma influência direta ou indiretamente, mas eu não acho que esteja lembrando muito, apesar de levarmos esse seu comentário como um ótimo elogio, óbvio. Temos diversas influências cara, e com o passar do tempo fomos moldando nosso som de acordo que agradasse a todos da banda, posso dizer que esses dois sons do split tem influências de Death , Thrash e até Black Metal!!!
Denito: A idéia da Defy sempre foi misturar o Crust com Death Metal, tentar equilibrar bem essas duas influências, sempre digo para amigos que a idéia é fazer um Warcollapse mais Death Metal ou um Benediction mais Crust. E é o que tentamos fazer. Se parece com Napalm Death? Eu não acho. Na verdade, eu acho que não parece com nada, mas aí deixa para cada um assimilar a Defy como achar melhor.
04 - Voltando ao passado, vocês relançaram Desprazer no formato 10". Qual o motivo desse relançamento?
Fernanndo: Sim!!! O motivo é bem simples, até hoje achamos que esse foi o melhor lançamento da banda, tanto em termos de recepção da galera, quanto em termos de sonoridade e gravação, eu não gravei as guitarras da demo, mas acho um puta trampo e gosto bastante, para mim são os melhores sons junto com esse novo split, e era um sonho relançá-la em um formato 10".
Denito: A nossa idéia sempre foi fazer um 10" da demo. Como é um formato que não se vê tanto e também por a gente pirar demais nesse formato, queríamos de qualquer forma fazer ele, só que tivemos problemas internos, troca de membro na banda. Então quando voltamos, resolvemos fazer um CD mesmo. E no final de 2012 pintou a oportunidade de realizar esse sonho de ter a demo em vinil 10".

01 - The Defy will do a tour in Europe now with the Subterror. How is the expectation for this trip? What are other bands that will be playing on this tour?
Fernando: Dude, we are very excited, it's a dream that we had to show our sound elsewhere and fortunately is close to being realized together with our friends, anxiety is total!!! About the bands, I don't know say what are all bands that we share the stage but I can say a few bands in particular that we are eager to see how as Visions of War, is the band of Stiv, who did the cover art of our split; Risposta from Czech Republic, is the band of Mirrus our friend that we had the pleasure of launching a split together; Lautstürmer, who have been around here in 2011 if I'm not mistaken; Do You Think I Care?, among others, but two bands in particular caught my attention: La Casa Fantom and Roxor, I will not make any comment, just listen!!!
Denito: Hi Crôsta! Thanks for the space! The expectation with the tour is great, especially in participating along with the Subterror because we are friends and there is a great respect and admiration between us. About bands we are playing with some bands we like and have followed some time as Vision of War, Beton that an old band, Lautstürmer we had the opportunity to play with them here in São Paulo and especially playing with Risposta because we split together and will be a great day for us to know besides other bands, people, places, countries, etc... Finally, much information in a short time. It will be great!
02 - When you finish this european tour will launch in Brazil the split Defy/Subterror. In what formats will be released this split? Who was the author of the cover art?
Fernando: The split will be released in the format EP 7" and who did the cover art was Stiv, vocalist of the Vision of War.
Denito: 500 copies were made of split format 7" for the tour and also to sell here. The cover art was done by Stiv's Visions of War. We already knew his job and he has done work for the Instinct of Survival, Guided Cradle and etc. Then only was contact, put it on paper and we leave the rest to him because we knew we'd get a job brutal. We enjoyed a lot!
03 - With respect to new sounds, the noise are a strong mix of Death Metal with Crustcore and that at times reaches remember Napalm Death (Death Metal phase). Do you agree?
Fernando: I agree in part, I agree with the strong mix of Death Metal with Crust, but I disagree a bit on similarity with Napalm rs, we love Napalm Death and certainly is an influence either directly or indirectly but I don't think that is very reminiscent, despite this we take your comments as a great compliment, obviously. We have various influences guy and over time we were shaping our sound according to the taste of all band members, I can say that these two songs from our split has influences of Death, Thrash and Black Metal!!!
Denito: The idea of the Defy was always mix Crust and Death Metal and well try to balance these two influences, I always tell my friends that our idea is to make something like Warcollapse more Death Metal or Benediction more Crust. And is that we try to do. If our sound with reminds Napalm Death? I don't think. Actually, I think it does not look like anything but we leave it to each person treats the Defy as it sees fit.
04 - Now back to the past, the band re-released Desprazer in format 10''. What is the reason for this re-release?
Fernando: Yes!!! The reason is very simple, until today we thought this was the best release of the band, both in terms of reception of the people, and in terms of sound and recording and I did not record the guitars in the demo but I think a fucking job and I quite like, for me are best sounds beyond the new sounds of the split and was also a dream re-launch it in a format 10".
Denito: Our idea was always to do a 10" demo. How is a format that is not seen much too and we like that kind of format, we wanted to do it anyway but we had internal problems, change in the band's lineup. So when we got back, we decided to make a CD even. And at the end of 2012 it was possible to realize this dream of having a demo on vinyl 10".
