Born in the eighties, Armagedom is one of the warrior bands that continues to stay strong these days in the Brazilian hardcore/punk scene. Led by Javier (the only original member and lead singer on the first and classic 1986 album Silêncio Fúnebre), Armagedom once again shows its power of destruction with Em Lenta Decomposição, its 2018 album released by the German label Break The Silence. Composed of twelve tracks, Em Lenta Decomposição is an album that sounds dirty, aggressive, cruel, putrefied and metallic from beginning to end, highlighting songs like "Que A Terra Lhe Seja Leve", "Necrópole" (the best track), "Os Quatro Cavaleiros" (Força Macabra cover), "Refugiados Do Inferno", "Suicídio Coletivo", "Pesadelo Em Vida", "Contaminação Assassina" and "Extermínio Biológico" (this song has a sound vibration similar to Nuclear Frost). At last, Em Lenta Decomposição is a very good album that will please those who enjoy Armagedom, hardcore/punk, crust, metal punk and the true deathcore from the eighties. Grave Infestation is a new Canadian death metal band and Infesticide is their first demo, released in February 2019. In the five tracks featured in this demo, there is a heavy, raw and direct sound, reminiscent of American death metal bands in the early 90's. It is worth remembering that Grave Infestation is composed of some AHNA members. Good!

Ossuarium is a new American band and they have already released a demo in 2017, a split with Draghkar in 2018 and Living Tomb is their first album that was released in 2019 and this album was the first time I heard Ossuarium. Living Tomb is comprised of eight very heavy and well executed death metal tracks where tracks like "Blaze of Bodies", "Vomiting Black Death", "Corrosive Hallucinations" and "Writhing in Emptiness" are the highlights of the album. The cover art that draws much attention for its morbid charm is a work from Dan Seagrave. Very cool!

Estamos diante de um clássico, uma obra-prima, um dos melhores e mais importantes registros de todos os tempos. Estamos falando de Apocalyptic Raids, o cultuado e super importante EP da Hellhammer lançado em 1984. Apocalyptic Raids tem toda essa importância, pois é um dos pilares para a construção e definição do que conhecemos como death e black metal hoje em dia. A forma crua, suja, rústica, primitivista ou até mesmo punk como a Hellhammer executava os seus sons deu para eles toda essa áurea grotesca, maligna, macabra e apocalíptica, na qual conquistou e atraiu com todos os méritos e razões admiradores em todo o mundo. As quatro faixas que originalmente compõem Apocalyptic Raids podem ser dividas em duas partes: as três faixas "The Third of the Storms (Evoked Damnation)", "Massacra" e "Horus/Aggressor" são bastante diretas, agressivas e ríspidas, enquanto "Triumph of Death" é uma canção longa, lenta e agonizante. Em outras versões relançadas contém mais duas faixas como "Revelations of Doom" e "Messiah" (coverizada por Sepultura e Napalm Death, por exemplo). A capa que é realmente impactante e ofensiva, onde simboliza eternamente o real espírito da Hellhammer, se trata de uma arte feita pelo Tom G. Warrior nomeada "The Sitting Death". Hellhammer, o power-trio das trevas deixou a sua marca neste mundo maldito, influenciando bandas de death/thrash/black metal, crust/crustcore e também pessoas através de todos esses anos e Apocalyptic Raids é um marco no mundo da música pesada e extrema. This is a classic, a masterpiece, one of the best and most important records of all time. I'm talking about Apocalyptic Raids, the cult and super-important Hellhammer EP released in 1984. Apocalyptic Raids has all this importance, as it is one of the pillars for the construction and definition of what we know as death and black metal nowadays. The crude, dirty, rustic, primitivist and even punk form Hellhammer performed its sounds gave them a grotesque, evil, macabre and apocalyptic aura, that conquered and attracted with all the merits and admiring reasons throughout the world. The four tracks that originally composed Apocalyptic Raids can be divided into two parts depending on what inspired them: the three tracks "The Third of the Storms (Evoked Damnation)", "Massacra" and "Horus/Aggressor" are quite straightforward, aggressive and harsh, while "Triumph of Death" is a long, slow and agonizing song. Other reissued versions contain two more tracks like "Revelations of Doom" and "Messiah" (covered by Sepultura and Napalm Death, for example). The cover that is really shocking and offensive, where it eternally realizes the real spirit of Hellhammer, is art made by Tom G. Warrior named "The Sitting Death". Hellhammer, the power-trio of darkness has left its mark on this damn world, influencing death/thrash/black metal bands, crust/crustcore and people through all these years and Apocalyptic Raids is a milestone in the world of heavy and extreme music.
