WILT - WILT

"Wilt" é novo álbum lançado pela Wilt em 2017 e este registro está extremamente apocalíptico e pesado. "Wilt" é um álbum totalmente diferente do registro anterior chamado "Reclamation", onde as músicas eram uma mistura muito boa de crust metálico com industrial. Nesse álbum, a Wilt apostou na agressividade e na destruição musical, na qual a brutalidade do death metal está aliada ao crust. Na nova era, a banda soa extremamente brutal e vai agradar admiradores de Sanctum, Filth of Mankind, War Master, Immolation, Bolt Thrower, Sepultura ("Territory" foi uma dos sons que eles fizeram que eu mais escutei na vida. Excelente escolha!), death metal e crust em geral. Devo também destacar a performance do baterista Brian que é simplesmente avassaladora (pedais duplos magníficos). Sem sombra de dúvidas, "Wilt" é um dos melhores álbuns lançados em 2017. Meramente espetacular! Parabéns! Wilt: Zach (vocal e guitarra), Heather (baixo), Greg (guitarra) e Brian (bateria). 

"Wilt" is the new album released by Wilt in 2017 and this record is extremely apocalyptic and heavy. "Wilt" is an entirely different album from the previous record called "Reclamation", where the songs were a very good mix of metallic crust and industrial. In this album Wilt created very aggressive and destructive songs, in which the brutality of death metal is perfectly associated with crust. In the new era, the band sounds extremely brutal and will please fans of Sanctum, Filth of Mankind, War Master, Immolation, Bolt Thrower, Sepultura ("Territory" was one of their songs that I listened to the most in my life. Excellent choice!), death metal and crust in general. I must also highlight the performance of drummer Brian who is simply badass (magnificent double pedals). Without a doubt, "Wilt" is one of the best albums released in 2017. Merely spectacular! Congratulations! Wilt: Zach (vocals and guitars), Heather (bass), Greg (guitars) and Brian (drums).

Sepultura estava no auge nessa época, os caras estavam no gás total, não tinha pra Slayer e nem pra ninguém. Imagino que os caras das bandas finlandesas que nós gostamos estavam todos aí. Força, energia e intensidade no mesmo pique daquele show em Barcelona. Qualidade de áudio e vídeo muito boas em um mar de cabeças amarelas refrescadas por água. Foda!


Sepultura was at the apex of their career at this time, the guys were at full power, it would be useless to compare them with Slayer or some other band. I imagine the guys from the Finnish bands that we liked were all at this festival. The strength energy and intensity is on the same level as the old show recorded in Barcelona. Very good audio and video quality in a sea of yellow heads refreshed by water. Badass!

NUNCA - KÂNON I

Lançado também em 2017, "Kânon I" é o terceiro e o novo registro da Nunca. Ao contrário de "Tomo", "Kânon I" não soa como o death metal sueco (influência no segundo registro) e sim, em algo mais voltado pro hardcore, crust e black metal, sendo essas as características marcantes da Nunca. Das oito faixas que compõem este registro, eu destaco "Acalanto", "Yami No Shison" e "Irreversível". Em suma, mais outro bom lançamento da Nunca.


Also released in 2017, "Kânon I" is the third and newest record from Nunca. Unlike "Tomo", "Kânon I" does not sound like Swedish death metal (influence on the second record) but rather something more hardcore, crust and black metal, thus defining the characteristics of Nunca on this record. Of the eight tracks that make up this record, I highlight "Acalanto", "Yami No Shison" and "Irreversível". In short, another good launch for Nunca.

Os dois tipos de vocais também dão um ritmo bem dinâmico nas músicas. "Labil" é o segundo álbum da Slutet e vai agradar admiradores das bandas citadas, hardcore e crust punk em geral. Só tenho a dizer que esse trem é muito bom! Slutet: Jalle (vocais), Peter (vocais), Ea (guitarra), Emil (guitarra) e Olof (bateria).


Slutet is a new Swedish band made up of members from 3-way Cum, Warcollapse and Unarmed. The sound of Slutet is heavy crustcore with good guitar riffs that are aggressive, with a cadence of melodies, sometimes reminiscent of the American band Tragedy. The two types of vocals also give a very dynamic rhythm in the songs. "Labil" is Slutet's second album and will please fans of the aforementioned bands and fans of hardcore, crust and punk in general. As minhas faixas favoritas são "Liberi Armati Pericolosi", "Avete Perso" (rápida e agressiva, tipo Ratos de Porão), "Sono Un Clandestino", "Fino Alla Fine" (belas guitarras!), "Picci" e "Spettri Di Morte". A capa desse álbum foi feita por Stiv (Visions of War e Voidfiller). Pra finalizar, "Fino Alla Fine" é um álbum que estimula e incentiva a quebrar as correntes da manipulação. Seja livre! The Italian hardcore/punk scene has several cool bands that have influenced many people around the world, Kontatto is one of them. "Fino Alla Fine" is their latest album. This album is energetic and exciting with a unique and original sound especially coming from the guitars. My favorite tracks are "Liberi Armati Pericolosi", "Avete Perso" (fast and aggressive, similar to Ratos de Porão), "Sono Un Clandestino", "Fino Alla Fine" (beautiful guitars!), "Picci" and "Spettri Di Morte". "The Art of Modern Warfare" foi lançado em 2017 e o som da Adrestia é uma mistura de crust punk com death metal, na qual vai agradar admiradores de ambos os gêneros e Martyrdöd. Adrestia é uma banda massa e com boas idéias em suas letras e vale a pena conferir o som deles caso você ainda não ouviu.

Neste últimos anos, o Canadá tem apresentado para o mundo bandas muito legais. Ao escutar Show of Bedlam, eu senti essa loucura que é a música deles. Não existe um rótulo específico para essa banda, pois eles misturam de forma brilhante avantgarde, doom metal, sludgecore, post-metal com vibrações caóticas da música industrial, resultando em um som insano, pesado e colossal. "Transfiguration" foi lançado em 2017 e destaco as faixas "Blue Lotus" (essa faixa soa em alguns momentos como Mayhem no álbum "Grand Declaration of War") e"Hall of Mirrors". O nome da banda está associado ao Hospital Real de Bethlem localizado em Londres, sendo o hospital psiquiátrico mais antigo do mundo. Em suma, "Transfiguration" é um dos registros mais interessantes lançados em 2017. 

In recent years a lot of very cool bands have come out of Canada. While listening to Show of Bedlam, I felt some kind of madness from their music. There is no specific label for this band because they brilliantly mix avant-garde, doom metal, sludgecore and post-metal with chaotic vibrations of industrial music, resulting in an insane, heavy and colossal sound. "Transfiguration" was released in 2017 and has two tracks worth mentioning, "Blue Lotus" (this track at certain moments sounds like Mayhem on the album "Grand Declaration of War") and "Hall of Mirrors". The band's name is associated with the Bethlem Royal Hospital located in London, the oldest psychiatric hospital in the world. In short, "Transfiguration" is one of the most interesting records released in 2017.

O som da Triage é uma mistura poderosa de bandas como Death Side, Gauze, Bastard, Metallica e Slayer com vocais femininos. "Power Beat" foi lançado em 2016 e contém cinco faixas com riffs metálicos soando agressivo, rápido e pesado. Among so many new bands that have been appearing in all corners of the world, Triage is a group that stands out. I say this because they mix hardcore/punk with metal but they don't sound like a typical crossover or metal punk band. The sound of Triage is a powerful mix of bands like Death Side, Gauze, Bastard, Metallica and Slayer with female vocals. "Power Beat" was released in 2016 and contains five tracks with metallic guitar riffs sounding aggressive, fast and heavy. Fuck hardcore, this is power beat!

Bode Preto volta a massacrar os ouvidos com este novo EP lançado em 2017 chamado "Dead Man Rise". Este registro é de certa forma especial, pois os todos os vocais são executados por Goat (Shawn Calizo - Von), na qual ele realiza um excelente trabalho e além disso, também cantou em duas faixas no álbum anterior que estão neste EP como "Dirty Honey" e "Parade", e Josh S. apenas toca guitarra. A cozinha continua com a mesma maldade de sempre, ou seja, conduzindo o ouvinte aos macabros sons fúnebres. Todas as seis faixas são muito boas, mas eu destaco "Demented Night" e "Best-Kept Secret" como as mais caóticas. A arte de capa foi feita por Horace Vernet e retrata Napoleão em seu leito de morte. Foda!


Bode Preto returns to massacre your ears with this new EP released in 2017 called "Dead Man Rise". This record is special, all the vocals are preformed excellently by Goat (Shawn Calizo - Von) who also sang on two tracks on the previous album which are also on this EP as "Dirty Honey" and "Parade", accompanied by Josh S. on guitar. The drums and bass continue with the same old sonorous wickedness, leading the audience to the macabre sounds of a funeral. All six tracks are very good, but I highlight "Demented Night" and "Best-Kept Secret" as the most chaotic songs. The cover art was made by Horace Vernet and portrays Napoleon on his deathbed. Badass!

Vazio é uma nova banda de black metal brasileira e é composta por membros da Social Chaos, Armagedom e Pr4g4. O som que a Vazio faz é bastante influenciada por Mayhem, tanto musicalmente como nas partes vocais que lembram Attila Csihar. Obviamente, a Vazio tem outras influências sonoras em sua música. Outro fator que merece destaque são as letras, já que mostram o lado oculto da vida como a escuridão, decadência, destruição dos valores e a morte. Este EP foi lançado em 2017 e contém sete faixas niilistas, propagando assim as trevas tropicais. Vazio is a new Brazilian black metal band and is comprised of members from Social Chaos, Armagedom and Pr4g4. Em 2014 eu assisti o show da Atomic Roar no MetalPunk Overkill em Belo Horizonte e foi simplesmente do caralho e essa mesma energia nuclear está contida neste novo álbum lançado em 2017. "Never Human Again" contém oito faixas cruas e sujas que vão agradar admiradores de thrash metal oitentista, metal punk e hardcore. Minhas faixas favoritas são "Never Human Again" (lembrando bastante o velho Voivod), "Nobody Wins" (essa faixa é foda e com certeza combinaria com um vídeo agressivo de skate da Thrasher Magazine), "Hail to the Bomb" e "Winds of Wasteland" (estas duas últimas faixas tem a participação de Leon Manssur - Apokalyptic Raids). Arte por Jeferson Pizoni (Helvetin Viemärit). Muito bom!

In 2014 I watched the Atomic Roar show at MetalPunk Overkill in Belo Horizonte, it was simply amazing and that same nuclear energy is contained in this new album released in 2017. "Never Human Again"contains eight raw and dirty tracks that will please fans of eighties thrash metal, metal punk and hardcore. My favorite tracks are "Never Human Again" (very widely influenced by old Voivod), "Nobody Wins" (this track is good and certainly can be combined with an aggressive skateboarding video from Thrasher Magazine), "Hail to the Bomb" and "Winds of Wasteland" (these last two tracks have the special guest Leon Manssur - Apokalyptic Raids). KAÏNA - II

Neste ano de 2017 eu conheci boas bandas finlandesas e a Kaïna é uma delas. O barulho deles é mistura furiosa de crustcore com hardcore, além de black metal como na faixa "No More Lies". Certamente o barulho feito pela Kaïna vai agradar em cheio quem curte Disrupt. 


This year 2017 I listened to some good new Finnish bands and Kaïna is one of them. Their noise on this particular track "No More Lies" is a furious mix of crustcore, hardcore and black metal. Certainly the noise made by Kaïna will please people who enjoy Disrupt.
