Oakland é uma cidade que sempre surge excelentes bandas e isso é inegável. Eu poderia citar todas essas bandas aqui, mas no momento a banda em questão se chama Atrament. Em 2015 eles lançaram a sua primeira demo com duas músicas e realmente eu gostei pra caralho do que ouvi (inclusive essas duas faixas estão inseridas no álbum). "Eternal Downfall" é um álbum excelente, onde a mistura apocalíptica entre o death metal, crust e d-beat soa perfeita. Claro, a Atrament tem outras influências para deixar o seu som mais poderoso e letal como as guitarras do black metal norueguês (escute "Dusk Abuse", por exemplo). Óbvio que é impossível citar qual é a melhor faixa desse álbum, pois todas são tão boas. Eu vou repetir aqui o que eu escrevi no primeiro review: Atrament é uma banda que você deve escutar imediatamente, pois esses caras são realmente muito bons. Oakland is a city that always are born great bands and this is undeniable. I can name all these bands here, but this time the band in question is called Atrament. In 2015 they released the first demo with two songs and I really like quite what I heard (these tracks are on the album). "Eternal Downfall" is an excellent album where the apocalyptic mix of death metal, crust and d-beat sounds perfect. Atrament has other influences to provide a more powerful and lethal music, as the guitars of the Norwegian black metal (listen to "Dusk Abuse", for example). Obviously, it is impossible to name what is the best track on this album, because all are so good. I will repeat here what I wrote the first review: Atrament is a band you should listen immediately, because these guys are really good. Véy, esses caras foram uma das revelações de 2015 e "Nihl" veio para confirmar isso. Este álbum é pesado e sombrio pra caralho, sendo essas as características mais marcantes desta banda. Seguindo essa lógica, o som produzido pelas guitarras é semelhante ao zumbido de abelhas furiosas durante um ataque, enquanto a bateria e o baixo conduzem o ouvinte ao plano mais horripilante possível. Óbvio que eu escutei algumas boas influências de bandas como, o velho Morbid Angel e sobretudo Immolation, embora a Altarage seja uma banda única. Destaque para as faixas "Womborous", "Graehence", "Vortex Pyramid" e "Altars". "Nihl" é um excelente álbum e altamente viciante aos ouvidos, pois tenho escutado várias vezes seguidas nestes últimos meses. Sem dúvida um dos melhores registros de 2016. Foda! Man, these guys were one of the revelations of 2015 and "Nihl" is here to confirm it. This album is heavy and dark as hell and these are the most striking features of this band. Following this logic, the sound produced by the guitar is similar to the buzz of angry bees during an attack while the drums and bass lead the listener to the most terrifying place that may exist. Obviously I heard some good influences of bands like the old Morbid Angel and Immolation especially, although Altarage is a band with their own ideas. Especially the tracks "Womborous", "Graehence", "Vortex Pyramid" and "Altars". "Nihl" is an excellent album and it is highly addictive, because I have heard again and again in recent months. Undoubtedly one of the best records of 2016. Badass!

Aaaaaaarrrrrrggghh!!! Fodido pra caralho esse novo EP da War Master com o nome "Blood Dawn". 4 faixas brutais feitas em um vale extremamente seco, abafado e quente, onde o fedor impera. EP muito animal, na qual você escuta várias vezes, pois a destruição é real e não sacal. Brilhante a arte da capa feita por Neal Dossey (guitarrista da War Master). Tanto o death podreira feito pelos texanos, como a capa, são os um dos melhores trabalhos de 2013. Depois de tantos elogios, tu tem que escutar essa porra e se ligar. Foda! Foda! Foda! Anti-God Squad é uma nova banda paulista com membros de bandas como, Worship No One e Defy. Neste primeiro registro a banda toca dois sons death metal. Sobre as influências, percebe-se um liqüidificador de similaridades com bandas suecas, inglesas e holandesas, ou seja, a essência do antigo death metal europeu. Muito bom e espero mais sons. Lembrando que esse EP vai ser lançado no formato 7" (polegadas) . Anti-God Squad: Fábio (vocal), Bulldoque (guitarra), Cayque (baixo) e Denito (bateria). Anti-God Squad is a new band from São Paulo with members from bands like, Worship No One and Defy. This is the band's first record in which they play two death metal songs. About the influences, you hear similarities to Swedish, English and Dutch bands, ie the essence of the old European death metal. I really like it and I hope to hear more songs from this band. "Scar Chain" é o próximo EP que será lançado pela Gaasp (sei lá, talvez isso já foi lançado). Musicalmente a banda continua com a mesma energia da primeira demo, porém neste registro as músicas são mais hardcore e metalpunk. "Maniac Hell" é uma faixa bem ao estilo Anti Cimex, por exemplo. As outras faixas são bem cruas também. Estão disponíveis para audição no bandcamp apenas quatro faixas. Da hora! PS: A fita tem mais faixas e isso também será lançado em vinil. "Arc" é o lançamento de 2016 da Agoraphobic Nosebleed e está muito diferente de tudo que Scott Hull já fez para essa banda. Ao escutar a primeira faixa "Not A Daughter" eu tive a impressão que estava ouvindo Eyehategod. Fiquei pensando que isso seria uma viagem ao estilo "Natasha" feita pela Pig Destroyer e que as outras faixas seriam noise/grindcore. Entretanto as outras duas canções seguem a mesma pegada sludge. "Arc" é um bom registro e vai agradar bastante quem curte sludge. Se você gosta de noise/grindcore e esperava por algo assim, esqueça! When I heard the first track "Not A Daughter" I had the impression I was hearing Eyehategod. I was thinking this would be something like "Natasha" made by Pig Destroyer and the other tracks would be noise/grindcore. However the other two songs are sludge. Esse split com as bandas Axidance (Rússia) e Gattaca (República Tcheca) ficou bom, porém nada demais. Ambas as bandas nesse split tocam black metal e em poucas partes nota-se algo de crust. This split with Axidance (Russia) and Gattaca (Czech Republic) is good, but nothing too much. Both bands on this split album play black metal and very few moments listening to some crust influence. Brazilian ultimate grind crash!!! Assim é definido esse split envolvendo essas duas excelentes bandas. Desalmado que está em cena desde 2008 e alguns registros na bagagem destrói o sistema opressor e se manifesta coerentemente contra a falácia do Estado (atenção: as letras merecem realmente a sua atenção). Tudo isso aliado ao grindcore e com uma ótima gravação a cargo de André 'Kbelo' Sangiacomo e Jean Dolabella (ex-Diesel, ex-Sepultura). A Homicide me surpreendeu com o seu primeiro full-length "O Que o Cerca Está Morto", sendo um dos melhores álbuns de 2012 e agora em 2016 a situação é a mesma. Sete faixas de destruição musical com letras de cunho social e sobre a vida. Ambas as bandas destroem tudo neste split e é impossível mencionar quais são as melhores faixas, pois todas estão no mesmo nível de aniquilação e caos. Porém é fácil dizer que a Napalm Death é uma grande referência neste trabalho, tanto para a Desalmado quanto para a Homicide. Arte de capa por Marcelo Augusto (Manger Cadavre?) e direção de arte por Fernando Camacho. Muito bom e vale a pena ter esse split CD em sua coleção. Desalmado that is on the scene since 2008 and some records in its history destroys the oppressive system and manifests itself consistently against state fallacy (attention: the lyrics really deserve your attention and are written in Portuguese). All this combined with grindcore and a great recording by André 'Kbelo' Sangiacomo and Jean Dolabella (ex Diesel, ex Sepultura). Homicide surprised me with the first full-length "O Que O Cerca Está Morto" one of the best albums of 2012 and now in 2016 the situation is the same. Seven tracks of musical destruction with lyrics of a social nature and life. Both bands destroy everything in this record and it's impossible to mention what are the best tracks, because all are at the same level of annihilation and chaos. Quando eu escutei "Bedlam Attack" pela primeira vez no Youtube eu disse: que porra é essa??? Falei isso em relação ao nome da banda. Dei uma pesquisa na net e vi que se tratava da nova banda de Lars Petrov (primeiro e ex-vocalista da Entombed). Como todos sabem a Entombed acabou e os motivos não interessam aqui. Nessa nova banda, Petrov está em companhia de outros membros que já tocaram também na Entombed, como, Johan Jansson (guitarra), Nico Elgstrand (guitarra), Olle Dahlstedt (bateria) e Victor Brandt (baixo). "Back To The Front" pode ser um álbum difícil de ser digerido por muitos fãs de death metal e música pesada em geral, pois o andamento de todas as músicas está bem parecido, sem nenhuma novidade. Mesmo assim eu achei legal o álbum. Destaco "Second To None" e "Waiting For Death" como as músicas mais empolgantes desse trabalho. Ao escutar "Gospel Of The Horns" pela primeira vez, eu pensei que se tratava de uma canção cover da Marilyn Manson. Não sei por que, mas eu achei isso. A capa que ficou bem massa foi feita pelo polonês Zbigniew Bielak. When I heard the song "Bedlam Attack" for the first time on Youtube I said: what the fuck??? Depois de ter lançado o primeiro registro e sendo um dos destaques de 2012, a Void Forger retorna com uma nova música lançada em 2016. Musicalmente a banda continua original, mas "Excess Collapse" contém influências death metal, além do sludge e crust (no primeiro registro a influência black metal era mais forte). VVVLV é uma nova banda e eles tocam também apenas uma música chamada "Homo Economicus", onde a influência mor é o sludge. Duas faixas muito boas, da qual eu espero mais registros. Massa!
